Lightning Tracker
Description
This program will download lightning strike maps, and let you step through them for a semi-animated sort of effect.
Installing
Download and run the installer. Easy!
Using
Press "Fetch" to go get another image from the server. If you tick "Auto Grab" it'll automatically update the picture every 10 minutes, which works 'cos the images on the server are updated every 15. Previous/next step through the images on your disk. All going well, it'll fill the program's directory with the downloaded images. "Find Strikes" sorta does that, but nothing more. Unfinished feature. :) Pressing "OK" will close the program.
Credit
Lightning images come from Weatherzone. Go to their site and look at their ads, or something. Its a cool site with pretty stuff on it.
The program uses a kick-ass image library from Smaller Animals Software called ImgSource. It r0><0Rz.
Bugs
- NSW only, 'cos its built in.
- The uninstaller (you'd want to uninstall this?!?!?) will leave any downloaded images behind.
